Today, we set up the
Spohn Ranch Vert Ramp for Chris Gentry’s Vert song music video
shoot. The video started off with Gentry, Rune, Omar, Jake and
Vogt all part of a chain gang working on the railroad with Big
Rock being the guard. They see a chance to escape and make a run
for the convict bus. Ricca was their get away driver, taking the
gang to the “Vert”. They rode hard and they rode fast, but when
the session was over, Chris wakes up and realizes he’s still in
jail and it was all just a dream.
I arrived at about 2 pm during the railroad scene. It was pretty
cool. Everybody was dressed in orange jumpsuits and a train was
cruising by in the background. And there was big bald Rocko
chasing the gang around with a shotgun. I bet the train
conductor was tripping.
The prison bus scene was filmed on the Spohn Ranch bus that they
let the guys use for the shoot. Hours later, after the crew
finally got the shots for the bus scene, the skating and
partying scene began. Rob Maggi from Master Image Customs came
out along with Frank from Lexani. They brought some pretty pimp
cars that had some serious moves. My favorite was the Bentley.
The guys tried to push me into this scene, where everybody was
dancing, especially Ricca. But Big Lou don't dance, so I was
able to weasel out of the scene. After the dance scene, the
skating started. It took a few minutes to get the lighting right
for the guys on top of the Ramp. At 11 pm Rune just started
killing it. Omar, Jake and Chad warmed up eventually joined in
as well. At about midnight, after everyone left, we took some
shots of Chris skating all by himself. It was starting to get
really cold and once we got the shots, we took off for home.
Stay tuned for the video, a lot of heavy hitters made some
cameos as Chris went back and got shots of Pierre Luc, Tas
Pappas, Mike Crum and others on the vert, so check it out. |
