    Fergusson Park Skatepark

The result of rigorous analysis and collaborative community engagement, Rialto’s Fergusson Park is home to one of the Inland Empire’s premiere skateboarding landscapes.  Inspired by the passion of a local family who had spent years advocating for a skatepark, we embarked on a design process aimed at creating a state-of-the-art facility that would serve both transition and street skaters in a harmonious way.

With the local inspiration in hand, we returned to the drawing board and developed a unique concept that would make efficient use of an existing hockey rink slab, while maintaining a sculptural and aesthetic quality.  The final design features aspects of both modern urban architecture and traditional backyard pool skating.  Our friends at RHA Landscape Architects also contributed to the skatepark with innovative shade structure design.
