CROWLEY LAKE SKATEPARK CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING

After knocking out the skatepark build’s final details when the snow cleared, the Crowley Lake Skatepark is officially open. With constant use by local skate camps and groups of skateboarders traveling up/down Highway 395, the skatepark is already proving to be a sound investment by Mono County.

Spohn Ranch was hired by the County in 2017 for a comprehensive design/build project that included community engagement, skatepark design, civil engineering, earthwork, drainage, a restroom building, steel fabrication and concrete/shotcrete. View more of the build here.

The designated site was a challenging riddle with nearly 10’ of grade change and various restrictions, but ultimately led to the creation of some fast and fun terrain. Clocking in at 10,000 square feet, the skatepark design features a 5’-9’ clover bowl, a horseshoe bowl with beginner mini-ramp section and a variety of street elements like grind rails and ledges.

The skatepark is located at 58 Pearson Road in Crowley Lake, California – right next to the Community Center. Enjoy!
