Modern Terrain Awaits at Mesa, Arizona’s New Eastmark Skatepark

Upon entering “The Deck” via a skateboard-lined archway, riders are presented with multiple options – a beginner pump track, an intermediate pump track and a tiered street plaza. With steps, rails, walls and pads, the plaza section mimics the types of urban plazas skateboarders seek out in metropolitan cities. The concrete pump tracks on either side provide a unique riding experience for all wheel types, uncommon in Arizona’s skateparks.

Designed and built by Spohn Ranch, the skatepark sits a stormwater retention basin, an efficient use of an otherwise under-utilized space. A modern aesthetic with colored concrete and sculptural shade sails also contribute to the facility’s uniqueness and have made it an instant hit for wheel sports athletes from across Arizona.
