    Cape May County Skatepark

Skateboard lovers finally have a place to call their own in Ocean City.

The Cape May County Skatepark officially opened on Oct 10th 2015, about four years after the original skateboard park at Sixth Street and Boardwalk was shut down, due to disrepair. The brand new 12,000SQ FT. skateboard park is now open on Asbury Avenue near Sixth Street.

The idea behind the Cape May County Skatepark was to provide another reason to visit this family themed resort city during the summer. The idea has exploded and is now a skateboarding destination for the east coast.

All sorts of big kids, little kids, adults, experienced skaters, inexperienced skaters are all welcomed as long as they are fully padded.

The park, which shares the block with the Ocean City Fire Department, includes many features that appeal to skaters of all ages and abilities. There is a large bowl, a snake run, a smaller bowl with an open section that allows skaters to get their feet acclimated to a bowl feeling and a street plaza area.
