East of NYC and south of Long Island, you’ll find the wonderful City of Long Beach, New York which maintains a proud and passionate skateboarding community. Spohn Ranch is proud to permanently be apart of this community by working side by side with the local skateboarders and building the skatepark of their dreams while replacing of the metal ramp and asphalt slab combination that previously stood.
We’ve chose to design a surf theme and transition-focused skatepark design after the feedback in a series of public design workshops in the development stage.
This skatepark is beautifully framed by Reynolds Channel and its boardwalk in the shape of an “L”, which means flowy and fun bowl wraps around the bottom of the “L” and eventually leads into a street area anchored by more transition on either end. At this park you will find a bowl, A frame with hubbas and rails, flat bar and various transition.
