In 2010 Spohn Ranch donated a few Spohncrete pre-cast concrete pieces to a DIY skate spot at Bixby Park (Cherry Park) in Long Beach, California. Local skaters had turned this flat slab of concrete into their own home, but amateur construction techniques limited the potential of this spot. Now filled with smooth concrete pieces with stainless steel edging, this spot has become a meeting place for Long Beach’s top skaters.
